Frequently asked questions
What does app2dat cost?
The platform is designed as a free solution for clubs and communities. Individual extras (such as promotion for more reach or official verification) are optional and only billed fairly when you actually use them.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. app2dat is made for club members, not IT professionals. If you can use a messenger app, you will feel right at home. Your own scripts are an offer for those who want more, not an obligation: most clubs never need one.
What if we need a workflow that doesn't exist?
Then you build it yourself. Through groups, your own data fields and scripts you can model even very specific workflows, from running a grading to printing the certificate. An AI agent inside the app writes the script with you, so you don't need to know how to program. The crucial part: the base software stays untouched. Your extension cannot damage it, and an update cannot break your extension.
Does app2dat work outside my country?
Yes. app2dat has no club law and no accounting model baked in that would tie you to a particular country. Participants from abroad sign up for your events just like your own members.
Can non-members sign up for our events?
Yes. Every group and every event can generate an invitation link and a QR code. Whoever opens it signs up without being a member of your club: the profile is created automatically along the way and the group sign-up is handled with it. It costs neither you nor your guest anything. The profile stays with that person, so they are directly reachable for your next invitation.
Do I have to install anything?
No, app2dat runs right in your browser and can be installed like an app with a single click if you wish. If you prefer the native app, you will find it on Google Play, on the App Store and in the Microsoft Store.
Does it work on all devices at the same time?
Yes. With the same profile you can switch seamlessly between phone, tablet and PC, everything stays in sync.
Do I have to re-enter my data for every club?
No. You create your profile once and use it to join as many clubs and groups as you like. For each group you decide which of your details it may see.
Can I manage several profiles?
Yes. Besides your own profile you can manage your children's profiles and those of your organisations in the same app, and switch between them at any time.
What if I have no internet on the go?
No problem, the app keeps working and syncs automatically as soon as you are back online.
